Instructor: Evan Blomquist - We're excited to have Evan teaching you the fundamentals of Linux. Not only because Linux is important in the security field, but also because Evan literally wrote the book on the subject, Linux for Dummies (Now on v7 for which he is a contributor). Evan Blomquist started his IT career in 1983 as a programmer. In the mid 90's he was introduced to the Linux operating system and subsequently became a passionate advocate in the use of free/open source software for corporate IT solutions. He went on to earn recognition as the worlds first Certified Linux Trainer (SAIR Linux Certification), developed, reviewed, and edited many Linux courses, and conducted classes for technical instructors worldwide on best practices for Linux training. |
Penetration testing is done not only on client machines that are dominated by Windows but also on servers that are dominated by Linux. Plus, a great number of ethical hacking tools are available only for the Linux platform. For these reasons, it is very important for those who strive to be in this industry to also learn Linux Fundamentals.
The goal of this five-day accelerated program for Linux certification is to educate students on the elements of system administration common to all distributions of the Linux operating system and associated tools. The CompTIA Linux+ certification validates technical competency and provides a broad awareness of Linux operating systems. Those holding Linux+ certification demonstrate critical knowledge of installation, operation, administration and troubleshooting services. Students will be able to take the CompTIA Linux+ during the course of the program.
Our Accelerated Linux Certification Program:
- Allows you to achieve your Linux+ certification in a fraction of the time of 'traditional training' while delivering industry-leading exam passing percentages.
- Helps students grasp complex technical concepts more easily by identifying and catering to individual student learning styles through a mixed visual, auditory and kinesthetic-tactual delivery system.
- Enhances retention by employing accelerated learning techniques focused on committing information to long-term memory.
With Training Camp, you will learn more. effectively. efficiently.
